Homni Technologies Inc. provides software to businesses in the mobility and accessibility care sector. This page explains how we handle information.
Whose information it is
The businesses that use Homni decide what information they put into it and who they share it with. It is theirs. We hold and process it on their behalf, only to provide the service and only on their instructions.
If a business holds information about you and you want to see it, correct it, or have it deleted, ask that business. They are responsible for it and can act. We help them do so.
What we handle
Contact details, records a business creates about the people it serves, and communications sent through the service. For the people who sign in, we hold their name, their email address, and a record of each time they sign in.
What we do not do
We do not sell information. We do not share it with advertisers or use it for advertising. We do not use it to train AI models. We do not use one customer's information for the benefit of another, and each customer's information is kept separate from every other customer's.
Service providers
We use other companies to run the service, and each receives only what its part requires. We name them to our customers in writing as part of their agreement with us, and any customer can ask us for the current list. We do not publish it here.
Where it is held
Our service and some of our providers operate in the United States, so information is stored and processed outside Canada and is subject to the laws where it is held.
Security and retention
Traffic is encrypted in transit, access requires signing in, and every sign-in is recorded. No system is perfectly secure, and if we become aware of a breach affecting a customer's information we will tell them without undue delay. We keep information for as long as a customer uses Homni, and return or delete it on request when they stop.
